PEB/CONSTRUCTION - SALES ENGINEER/FIELD ENGINEER

JOB PURPOSE

Creating, shaping and improving brand identity to enable visual communication of different products for different clients. To improve the company’s operational efficiency and effectiveness and help the company to accomplish its objectives.

We are a leading manufacturer of Pre-Engineered Buildings (PEB) and Heavy Steel Fabrication solutions in East Africa. With a strong market presence, we specialize in providing innovative and quality solutions for the construction, infrastructure, and industrial sectors. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales and Marketing Officer to lead and grow our presence in the East African market.

Besides that,company also deals in Aluminum & Glass fabrication, General Metal Fabrication, Signage, Civil & Turnkey works which form a major part of our product list.

Company  is the exclusive distributor for Otis Lifts, Ace Equipment, Graves Generators, Jindal & Servotec stabilizers, Indo air Compressors and Safex Over Head Cranes in Uganda (East Africa).

RESPONSIBILITIES

• As a Sales and Marketing Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies, managing sales operations, and driving business growth for our PEB and heavy steel fabrication division.

• Understanding the production process, materials, calculation of weight of the different types of materials and costs involved in heavy steel structure fabrication and installation.

• Working closely with designers, production teams, and installers to ensure a seamless flow from concept to execution.

• Communicating project requirements and objectives clearly to ensure that everyone is aligned on the message and desired outcome.

QUALIFICATIONS

• ITI, Diploma in Mechanical/Civil Engineer, Draftsman, Marketing or any related course
• 4 - 5 years of proven experience in sales and marketing, specially within Pre-Engineered Buildings (PEB) and Heavy Steel Fabrication sectors.
• Age 25-35 years

SKILLS REQUIRED

• Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the PEB, steel fabrication, construction, and industrial sectors. Experience with Medium and large-scale infrastructure projects is highly desirable.

• Field Experience:The candidate should have 3-5 years of field experience

• Sales Expertise: Demonstrated ability to achieve and exceed sales targets in the construction, manufacturing and industrial sectors.

• Marketing Expertise: Expertise in digital marketing, brand management, and content development for industrial products. Ability to use marketing tools like CRM systems, SEO, and social media platforms to build brand presence.

• Leadership: Strong leadership skills with experience in managing teams and driving sales growth.

• Negotiation Skills: Excellent negotiation and closing skills, particularly with large, complex deals.

• Language: Proficiency in English is required; proficiency in Swahili is highly advantageous for East African markets.

• Task solving and solution provider:Proven track record in working with and growing teams to solve specific challenges and accomplish task. Successful resolution of issues/complaints in a timely and professional way.

• Confident:Self-confidence with analytical mind who believes in perfection.

• Drawing Knowledge: Should have knowledge of drawing. (can read, and understand/interpret the drawings). Should possess knowledge of preparing BOQ/BOM, Bill preparation and submission to clients, attending client meetings on site & off site.

• Adaptability and Agility: Trend surfing, Experimentation of new ideas, Aptitude for learning and training subordinates, actively open to Feedback.
