Job Description:

Position:        Area Incharge - Production (Liquid Oral)

Location:        Ahmedabad

Experience:    10 - 15 Years

Industries:      Pharma

 

Responsibilities:        

  • Production Planning & Batch Execution
  • Plan and schedule daily and weekly production based on Production Plan.
  • Ensure availability of dispensed raw materials, purified water, utilities, and manpower. 
  • Supervise preparation of syrups, suspensions, solutions under controlled conditions.
  • Ensure proper dissolution, mixing, heating, cooling, and filtration steps as per BMR.
  • Process and Quality Monitoring
  • Monitor critical process parameters:
  • Temperature
  • Agitation RPM
  • Time of mixing
  • Filtration integrity
  • pH of solution
  • Ensure no precipitation, sedimentation, phase separation, or microbial contamination.
  • Conduct and review in-process checks (IPC) at defined stages.
  • Equipment & Area Control
  • Ensure all SS jacketed tanks, stirrers, homogenizers, filters, transfer pumps, and pipelines are cleaned and sanitized before use.
  • Verify CIP/SIP activity and cleaning validation.
  • Ensure status labels (CLEAN / IN-PROCESS / UNDER MAINTENANCE) are updated.
  • Coordinate with Engineering to handle breakdowns and preventive maintenance.
  • Documentation & Compliance
  • Ensure all entries in Batch Manufacturing Records (BMR) and logbooks are correct and timely.
  • Follow Good Documentation Practices (GDP) – no overwriting, no blanks, reason & signature for corrections.
  • Handle Deviation, Change Control, Incident, and CAPA records.
  • Ensure compliance with cGMP, Schedule M, WHO Guidelines, and internal SOPs.
  • Personnel Supervision & Training
  • Allocate operators & helpers based on skill and machine load.
  • Provide SOP training, hygiene training, process discipline training to team.
  • Maintain Shift Handover Report for continuity.
  • Safety & Housekeeping
  • Ensure employees wear required PPE (apron, gloves, mask, shoe covers).
  • Maintain area cleanliness as per 5S standards.
  • Ensure safe handling of flavors, solvents, sweeteners, and heating equipment

Required Skills:

  • Strong supervision & manpower management
  • Good understanding of mixing, heating, filtration & transfer operations
  • Knowledge of hold time, yield control & stability impact
  • Good coordination with QA, QC, Engineering and Warehouse

  

Required Qualification: - B.Pharm/M.Pharm/B. Sc/M.Sc -Chemistry        

Salary: - Upto 14.00 LPA
