Finance Manager (EPCG Background)

Job Summary
Polo Towers is seeking an experienced Finance Manager with in-depth expertise in the EPCG scheme, import regulations, and financial controls. The ideal candidate will manage overall financial operations, ensure compliance with EPCG obligations, oversee audits, and support strategic financial planning for the organization.
Key Responsibilities
1. EPCG Compliance & Documentation

Manage complete EPCG scheme lifecycle, including license application, documentation, and redemption.

Ensure compliance with EPCG obligations such as export fulfillment, duty exemption tracking, and timely filings.

Coordinate with DGFT, Customs, CHA, and relevant authorities for EPCG-related processes.

Maintain accurate records of capital goods, EPCG duties saved, and export obligations monitoring.
2. Financial Planning & Budgeting

Prepare annual budgets, financial forecasts, and cash flow statements.

Monitor financial performance against budgets and provide variance analysis.

Support management in strategic decision-making through financial insights.
3. Accounting & Internal Controls
-
Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, ledger maintenance, and financial reporting.

Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and company policies.

Review vendor payments, purchase orders, and capital expenditure records.
4. Taxation & Compliance
-
Handle GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other statutory payments and filings.

Ensure timely coordination for statutory audits and internal audits.

Maintain accurate documentation for tax assessments related to EPCG imports.
5. Import/Export Financial Management

Coordinate with logistics and procurement for import-related financial planning.

Monitor duty exemptions, advance payments, LC management, and banking documentation.

Handle export invoice processing, shipping documentation, and reconciliation.
6. Reporting & MIS

Prepare periodic financial statements, MIS reports, and management dashboards.

Present financial insights, risks, and improvement recommendations to management.

Track capital investments and ensure compliance with EPCG reporting requirements.
Key Skills & Competencies

Strong working knowledge of EPCG scheme, DGFT processes, customs regulations, and duty exemption documentation.

Solid understanding of financial accounting, taxation, and compliance.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.

Proficiency in Tally ERP, Excel, and financial reporting tools.

Strong communication and cross-functional coordination abilities.
Qualifications

MBA (Finance), M.Com, CA Inter, or equivalent professional qualification.

Minimum 7–12 years of experience, with mandatory exposure to EPCG processes.

Experience in hospitality, manufacturing, or EPCG-intensive industries preferred.
