Job Description:
Key responsibilities
-
Develop and implement safety policies:Create and update safety policies and programs to align with regulations and ensure a safe work environment.

Conduct risk assessments:Identify potential hazards in the workplace and assess risks to prevent accidents before they happen.

Ensure compliance:Monitor and enforce compliance with occupational health and safety (OHS) guidelines and other relevant regulations.

Provide safety training:Educate employees on safety best practices, the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and emergency procedures.

Inspect the workplace:Perform regular inspections of the premises, machinery, and tools to identify and correct unsafe conditions.

Investigate incidents:Investigate accidents, injuries, and near-misses to determine the root cause and implement corrective actions.

Promote a safety culture:Encourage a positive safety culture through training, communication, and leadership, ensuring that all employees follow safe work practices.

Prepare reports:Maintain safety records and prepare reports on safety performance, incidents, and audit findings.
