Chief Finance Officer
Job Description:
1. Financial Strategy & Leadership
Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with business goals.
Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and ensure smooth functioning.
Provide strategic guidance to executive leadership to drive profitability and growth.
Lead financial models, budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
Manage capital structure, funding strategies, and financing for growth initiatives.
Conduct feasibility studies for Greenfield projects or new office setups.
Perform ROI, break-even, payback analysis, and cost–benefit studies.
2. Financial Reporting & Analysis
Prepare and present monthly, quarterly & annual financial statements.
Analyze financial data and provide insights for decision-making.
Track manufacturing-specific KPIs (costs, efficiency, inventory).
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and reporting regulations.
3. Cash Flow & Working Capital Management
Oversee cash flow planning to meet operational needs.
Optimize working capital, improve inventory turnover, and manage credit cycles.
Implement cost-reduction and profitability initiatives in procurement, production, and distribution.
4. Risk Management & Compliance
Identify and mitigate financial risks (commodity price fluctuations, supply chain, etc.).
Manage risks related to import/export operations, currency, and geopolitical factors.
Ensure compliance with tax laws, statutory requirements, and global trade documentation.
Oversee audits, taxation matters, and insurance portfolios.
Liaise with regulatory bodies for legal and compliance adherence.
5. Internal Controls & Financial Systems
Implement strong internal controls to safeguard assets.
Oversee financial systems and ensure scalability and security.
Drive automation and process improvements to enhance efficiency.
6. Tax Strategy & Structuring
Develop international and domestic tax strategies.
Manage customs duties, GST/VAT, import-export taxes.
Oversee transfer pricing, international tax planning, and entity structuring.
7. Global Financial Systems & Processes
Manage ERP-related financial processes (MS Dynamics BC 365, Navision, etc.).
Support multi-currency financial operations and international trade processes.
Ensure alignment with global logistics, shipping terms (FOB, CIF), and customs procedures.
8. Leadership & Team Development
Lead and develop the finance & accounts team.
Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture.
Manage hiring, training, and retention of finance personnel.
9. Business Partnerships & Stakeholder Management
Act as a finance business partner to senior leadership.
Build relationships with banks, investors, suppliers, and customers.
Advise on business development, mergers, acquisitions, and capital investments.
10. Sustainability & Environmental Financial Management
Evaluate financial aspects of sustainability initiatives (energy use, waste, compliance).
