Job Description:

• Policy and strategy:
  • Develop, implement, and review fire safety policies and emergency plans.
  • Stay updated on the latest fire safety regulations and best practices.
• Risk management:
  • Conduct comprehensive fire risk assessments to identify potential hazards.
  • Implement preventive measures and corrective actions.
• System and equipment maintenance:
  • Perform daily monitoring and preventive maintenance of fire safety equipment like alarms, sprinklers, and extinguishers.
  • Coordinate with service providers for major maintenance and repairs.
• Emergency preparedness and response:
  • Coordinate emergency response plans and conduct regular fire and evacuation drills.
  • Lead investigations into fire incidents to determine causes and prevent recurrence.
  • Manage emergency response efforts during incidents, including communication with emergency services.
• Training and compliance:
  • Provide training and awareness programs to staff on fire safety practices and emergency procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with all fire safety codes, laws, and organizational policies.
  • Inspect facilities and operations to monitor compliance.
• Documentation and reporting:
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, audits, drills, and incidents.
  • Liaise with fire departments and other regulatory bodies.
• Construction and design:
  • Collaborate with project managers to ensure fire safety measures are incorporated into new construction and renovation projects.
