Designation: Process Simulation Engineer - Steady-State and Dynamic Modelling 
Location: Ahmedabad, India 
Experience: 3 to 6 Years 

Job Summary: 

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Process Simulation Engineer to join our engineering and project execution team. The role focuses on building, validating, and applying process simulation models to support the design, optimization, and operational reliability of Green Hydrogen, renewable, oil & gas, and process plant projects. 
The candidate will work extensively with Aspen HYSYS/PLUS, UniSim, and DWSIM, developing both steady-state and dynamic models for plant processes, validating operational sequences, and providing engineering support across project phases. 

Key Responsibilities: 

1. Process Simulation & Model Development 

• Develop and validate steady-state process models for hydrogen, gas, and chemical processes using Aspen HYSYS, PLUS, UniSim, or DWSIM. 
• Build dynamic simulation models to represent transient operations, including startup, shutdown, and upset conditions. 
• Ensure simulation models accurately represent process design data, vendor specifications, and plant operating conditions w.r.t Separators, Heat Exchanger, Adsorption Reactor & Dryers. 

2. Optimization & Case Studies 

• Conduct process optimization studies for Efficiency improvement, capacity maximization, and cost reduction. 
• Perform debottlenecking analysis and evaluate plant modifications for throughput enhancement. 
• Run energy and heat integration studies to improve process energy efficiency and sustainability performance. 

3. Control Logic & Dynamic Validation 

• Simulate startup/shutdown sequences, trip scenarios, and control strategies to ensure plant safety and operability. 
• Validate instrumentation, control loops, and interlock logic through model-based testing. Support development of operator training simulators (OTS) and digital twins for advanced training and predictive analysis. 

4. Engineering Support & Design Verification 

• Assist in design verification, capacity checks, and feasibility assessments during FEED, detailed engineering, and commissioning stages. 
• Provide simulation-based insights during HAZOP, HAZID, SIL and other process safety reviews. 
• Support troubleshooting of operational issues, using models to replicate and analyze root causes. 

5. Documentation & Knowledge Transfer 

• Prepare and maintain simulation documentation, model assumptions, case study reports, and validation results. 
• Establish and standardize simulation practices and methodologies across the engineering  team. 
• Train engineers and cross-functional teams in Simulation tools, workflows, and model interpretation. 

Required Qualifications & Skills: 

• Bachelor's Degree (B.E./B.Tech) or Master's Degree (M.Tech) in Chemical Engineering or Process Engineering. 
• 3 to 6 years of experience in process modelling, preferably in Green Hydrogen, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical Projects. 
• Proficiency in at least one major simulation platform: Aspen HYSYS, PLUS, UniSim, or DWSIM. 
• Experience in both Steady-state and Dynamic simulations with exposure to process control validation. 
• Strong understanding of mass/energy balances, thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, heat & material transfer, and plant operations. 
• Familiarity with Process Safety and HSE Studies. 

Preferred Skills (Added Advantage): 

• Experience in Green Hydrogen, Ammonia, Methanol, or Renewable fuel processes. 
• Knowledge of Digital Twin development and integration with plant data systems. 
• Exposure to Process Safety Analysis tools (PHA, LOPA, FMEA). 
• Familiarity with Operator Training Simulators (OTS). 
• Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
