Job Description:

 

Key Roles and Responsibilities

In the pharmaceutical industry, a Project Engineer's main responsibilities involve ensuring the technical work is completed safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with stringent regulatory standards (like cGMP). 
  • Project Planning & Execution
  • Prepare & review project schedule, P&ID, and GA Drawing.
  • Co-ordinate with cross functional teams. (Civil, Electrical, Instrument, Validation)
  • Monitor project progress, timeline and Mechanical budget.
  • Interacting with production team to understand their specific requirements & executing projects accordingly.
  • Manage contractors and Vendors on site for Mechanical Installation.
  • Carry out process design engineering work in feasibility studies, line size calculation, utility selection, flow rate.
  • Equipment Selection & Procurements
  • Selection and MOC of Pump, Valves, Pipe & fittings according to process requirement.
  • Review of GA Drawing, Equipment Layout, Orientation Plan of equipment, Isometric view of piping.
  • Evaluate technical offers, ensure complies with GMP, GDA/EMA & Participate vendor selection.
  • Preparation of piping BOQ, Costing and Preparation of
  • Project equipment erection, installation, piping as per P&ID, commissioning and validation production plant as per cGMP.
  • Installation, Testing, Pre-Commissioning, Commissioning
  • Supervise erection & Commissioning activities of mechanical system with service engineer.
  • Insure proper installation as per layout drawing Equipment, ULD, Process Piping, IBR Piping.
  • Conduct Hydro & Pneumatic test for Utility Piping, required equipment.
  • Documents (Project, QA)
  • Support FAT, SAT, DQ, IQ, and OQ activities, Maintain Project documentation.
  • Participation in Process Hazard Analysis, HIRA &
  • Co-ordinate with QA team for timely project related documentation
  • Preparation of facility & equipment qualification document for new production block as per USFDA standard class.
