Process Technology Engineer

Job Description:

Process development and Basic Engineering:

• Create and develop basic engineering package content like PID's MEB's PFD's.
• Analyze and examine results from R and D to ensure data sufficiency.
• Recommend special equipment and changes to the process to improve the process. 
• Perform sizing estimates and calculations using simulation tools.
• Perform safety calculations for the plant relief devices.
• Analyze plant data to establish operating regime. 
• Use this data to develop operating windows for process scale up.
• Work with R and D during process optimization and scale up for process development.

Detailed engineering:

• Perform basic checks on detailed engineering content to ensure that Basic engineering integrity has been maintained.
• Troubleshoot and debug design issues at detailed Engineering stage.
• Provide assistance to commissioning teams during final plant start-up for troubleshooting and debugging.

Simulation and modelling:

• Use simulation tools like Aspen and CFD extensively for basic and detailed design calculations.
• Develop custom tools to use for engineering applications.
• Work with vendors and software services providers to develop special simulation models.
