Position: Utility Supervisor

Location: Mwanza, Tanzania 

Experience: 4–10 years in utilities, maintenance, or plant operations.

Education: Graduate in Electrical engineering.

Role Overview

The Utility Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and maintaining all utility-related equipment to ensure smooth, reliable, and efficient plant operations. The role involves monitoring machine performance, coordinating preventive maintenance, reducing breakdowns, and managing manpower while ensuring safety, cleanliness, and continuous machine availability.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and oversee all utility equipment, ensuring efficiency and optimal performance.
• Monitor machines to ensure smooth operation under standard conditions.
• Maximize equipment uptime and improve overall machine availability.
• Reduce daily breakdowns through timely diagnosis and corrective actions.
• Prepare weekly and monthly preventive maintenance plans and reports.
• Supervise and manage manpower for utility operations.
• Submit monthly reports on utility machine performance and consumption.
• Provide operational support and maintain strong team coordination.
• Ensure cleanliness, safety, and proper housekeeping of all utility machines.

Key Requirements

• Education:Graduate in Electrical 
• Experience:Minimum 5–10 years in utilities, maintenance, or plant operations.
• Strong knowledge of utility systems (compressors, boilers, chillers, generators, pumps, etc.).
• Hands-on experience in breakdown maintenance and preventive maintenance planning.
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues and reduce downtime.
• Good understanding of safety standards and housekeeping practices.
• Strong reporting, documentation, and data-tracking skills.
• Ability to manage manpower, delegate tasks, and monitor daily activities.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
