Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Retail Operations Manager to oversee the end-to-end operations of 30 Shoppers Stop stores. The role involves ensuring smooth store functioning, maintaining optimal inventory levels, managing store staff, implementing SOPs, and driving sales and customer experience across all locations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Store Operations Management

Oversee day-to-day operations across 30 stores, ensuring full compliance with company SOPs.

Conduct routine store audits (VM, hygiene, cash, stock, merchandising, manpower checks).

Ensure timely store opening/closing, adherence to standards, and operational excellence.
2. Inventory & Stock Control

Monitor stock movement, shrinkage, ageing inventory, and replenishment cycles.

Coordinate with warehouse & merchandising teams for stock allocation and distribution.

Ensure accurate GRNs, stock transfers, RTV, and timely physical stock audits.

Minimize losses through strong inventory control systems.
3. Staff Management & Training

Manage and supervise store staff including Store Managers, Sales Associates, and VM team.

Plan manpower deployment, weekly rosters, and leave schedules.

Support hiring, onboarding, training, and performance evaluation.

Drive team motivation, discipline, and customer-centric behaviour.
4. Sales & Performance Monitoring

Track daily/weekly/monthly store-wise sales and KPIs (ATV, UPT, conversions).

Implement action plans for underperforming stores.

Support promotional activities, in-store events, and seasonal campaigns.
5. Customer Experience & Service Quality

Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction across all stores.

Resolve escalations and maintain a consistent brand experience.

Monitor store ambience, VM displays, trial room upkeep, and customer touchpoints.
6. Coordination & Reporting

Act as the link between stores, warehouse, HR, VM, and senior management.

Prepare regular reports on store performance, manpower, and inventory.

Recommend improvements for operations efficiency and cost optimization.
Required Skills & Competencies

Strong multi-store management experience (10+ stores preferred).

Excellent leadership, people management, and conflict resolution skills.

Sound knowledge of retail operations, inventory processes, and SOP workflows.
-
Ability to analyze data and drive performance-based decisions.
-
Strong communication skills and willingness to travel extensively.

Proficiency in MS Office, POS/ERP retail systems.
Qualifications

Graduate / MBA preferred.

Experience in fashion, lifestyle, or large-format retail (mandatory).
