Job Description:

Responsibilities:

• Independently plan, execute, and monitor laboratory-scale reactions for new product development or process improvement.

• Troubleshoot reaction-related issues and optimize parameters to achieve desired yields and purity.

• Conduct analytical testing using spectroscopy techniques (IR, NMR, UV, etc.) and interpret data for structural confirmation.

• Maintain detailed experiment records, observations, and analytical results in lab notebooks.

• Support scale-up activities by preparing process documents and assisting during pilot trials.

• Collaborate with senior R&D scientists to evaluate feasibility, cost, and safety of new processes.

• Ensure proper handling of chemicals, compliance with safety protocols, and adherence to SOPs.

• Conduct literature reviews and stay updated on new methodologies, reagents, and technologies.

• Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Ability to independently handle complex reactions and troubleshoot issues in the lab.

  • Strong knowledge of spectroscopy interpretation (IR, NMR, UV).

  • Good understanding of organic chemistry, synthesis techniques, and reaction mechanisms.

  • Excellent documentation skills and attention to detail.

  • B.Sc./M.Sc. in Chemistry; Organic Chemistry specialization preferred.

  • 1–5 years of experience in R&D (Pharma / API / Specialty Chemicals / Agrochemicals).
