Job Description:
A Wind Electrical Project Site Engineer manages on-site electrical aspects of wind farms, focusing on installation, commissioning, quality, and safety of high-voltage systems (like 33KV lines, substations, turbines). Key duties involve technical supervision, contractor management, adherence to standards, report generation, and collaborating with central teams for grid connection, ensuring efficient power evacuation and project timelines for renewable energy initiatives.
Job Title: Wind Electrical Project Site Engineer
- Site Management & Execution: Oversee daily electrical site activities, manage contractors, and ensure adherence to project schedules and budgets.
- Technical Supervision: Guide the installation, testing, and commissioning of wind turbine electrical systems, substations (PSS), transformers, switchgear, and SCADA.
- Quality & Safety: Implement stringent quality control, inspect materials, ensure compliance with safety regulations (HSE), and resolve technical issues promptly.
- Design & Planning: Assist in pre-design, feasibility studies for power evacuation, and finalizing layouts for 33KV lines and substations.
- Documentation & Reporting: Prepare detailed reports, Bills of Quantities (BOQ), technical specifications, and progress updates for stakeholders.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise with Head Office, procurement, civil/mechanical teams, and utility providers for seamless project integration.
- Grid Integration: Focus on robust planning for timely grid connectivity.
- Education: B.Tech/Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
- Experience: Hands-on experience in wind farm electricals, HV systems, project execution, and commissioning.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of wind energy principles, grid integration, SCADA, transformers, PLCs/DCS.
- Software: Familiarity with AutoCAD, WindPRO/OpenWind is a plus.
- Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving, communication, project management, leadership, and adaptability.
