Project Manager – Field Joint Pipeline Coating
Job Description:
The Project Manager will be responsible for the overall planning, coordination, and
execution of Field Joint Coating (FJC) projects. This role ensures that all project activities
are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with the approved
scope of work, specifications, and quality standards. The Project Manager will act as the
primary interface between the client, internal departments, and site operations teams.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare, update, and monitor project schedules using Microsoft Project and
Microsoft Excel in coordination with operations, engineering, and procurement
teams.
• Define project milestones, critical paths, and deliverables to align with client
pipelay schedules.
• Coordinate mobilization and demobilization of personnel and equipment in line with
site readiness and call-off requirements.
• Review project scope of work, specifications, and contractual obligations to ensure
full compliance.
Budget & Cost Control
• Prepare and maintain project budgets and forecasts using Excel and Oracle Fusion
PPM modules.
• Monitor actual costs versus budget (labor, materials, equipment, logistics,
subcontractors).
• Identify cost variances, risks, and opportunities, providing timely reports and
corrective actions.
• Support month-end reporting, revenue recognition, and project accruals.
Commercial & Documentation
• Prepare and submit Progress / Milestone Payment Certificates for client approval.
• Track and follow up on approvals to ensure timely invoicing and cash flow.
• Assist in preparation of variation requests, change orders, and contract
correspondence as required.
• Maintain organized project documentation in line with QMS requirements
(correspondence, reports, drawings, certificates, NCRs, etc.).
Schedule & Progress Monitoring
• Track daily and weekly production rates against the baseline plan.
• Coordinate with operations to identify delays, manpower shortages, or technical
challenges.
• Provide weekly progress reports and lookahead schedules to the Senior Project
Manager and client.
Note: Pipeline Coating Experience Preferred
