Job Description:
A Wastewater Project Engineer JD involves overseeing design, construction, and operation of treatment plants, ensuring regulatory compliance (EPA/state), managing technical aspects (hydraulic modeling, equipment selection), coordinating teams (clients, contractors), and handling documentation (reports, schedules), bridging design with site execution for efficient, compliant water/wastewater systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design & Planning: Assist in system design, equipment sizing, hydraulic modeling, ensuring compliance with environmental standards.
- Project Execution: Supervise construction, installation, commissioning, and startup of treatment units; ensure adherence to design specs.
- Compliance: Guarantee adherence to federal, state, and local environmental regulations (EPA, water quality).
- Technical Support: Conduct data analysis, performance evaluations, troubleshoot issues, and provide technical guidance.
- Documentation: Prepare technical reports, project schedules, environmental documentation, and operational manuals.
- Coordination: Liaise with clients, contractors, and cross-functional teams for seamless project delivery.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor's in Environmental, Civil, Chemical Engineering.
- Experience: Proven experience in water/wastewater treatment design, operations, or troubleshooting.
- Technical Skills: Knowledge of treatment processes, regulations, modeling, strong analytical skills.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication, problem-solving, teamwork, project management, attention to detail.
