Senior Accountant

Job Description:

• Financial Reporting and Analysis: Take ownership of preparing and finalizing crucial financial statements, including the Balance Sheet and Profit and Loss (P&L) statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. Analyze financial data and present reports to management, highlighting key trends and variances.
• GST Compliance and Reconciliation: Oversee all Goods and Services Tax (GST) compliance activities. This includes the accurate preparation and timely filing of all required GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, etc.). A primary responsibility is the meticulous reconciliation of GSTR-2A/2B with purchase data to maximize Input Tax Credit (ITC) claims and ensure audit readiness
• Tally and Data Management: Utilize expertise in Tally.erp 9 (or Tally Prime) to manage all accounting entries, ledger maintenance, and financial records. Ensure the integrity and accuracy of all data entered into the system, adapting to specific industrial accounting requirements like inventory valuation and costing methods.
• Payroll Processing: Manage the end-to-end payroll calculations for all employees. Ensure accurate and timely processing of salaries, deductions, reimbursements, and compliance with statutory obligations such as PF, ESI, and TDS.
• Banking and Operational Finance: Oversee daily bank activities, including transaction monitoring, cash flow management, fund transfers, and the preparation of timely and accurate bank reconciliations for all accounts. Coordinate with banking partners and manage daily financial operations.
• Audit and Internal Controls: Lead all audit-related efforts, liaising with internal and external auditors and providing necessary data and explanations. Ensure strong internal financial controls are in place and adhered to

• Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Commerce (b.com) or Accounting. Professional qualifications such as B.com , M.com MBA finance are a significant advantage for a role of this seniority.
• Experience: 6 to 10 years of experience in core accounting and finance, with a specific focus on the industrial, manufacturing, or equivalent sectors, demonstrating an understanding of industry-specific accounting practices.
• Software Proficiency: Mandatory expert proficiency in Tally.erp 9/Prime for accounting, reporting, and compliance activities.
• Technical Knowledge 
• • Comprehensive knowledge of Indian accounting standards, corporate tax laws (GST, Income Tax, TDS), and statutory compliance requirements.
