Hiring Operations / Factory Manager for Food Processing Company

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and responsible Operations / Factory Manager to manage day-to-day activities of our food processing unit. This position is designed for a hands-on all-rounder who can independently handle operations and provide structured reports to management.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end factory and operational activities
• Oversee inventory management of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods
• Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports (production, inventory, manpower)
• Handle manpower planning, attendance, shifts, and discipline
• Coordinate with purchase, production, dispatch, and accounts teams
• Ensure food safety, hygiene, and quality standards are strictly followed
• Control costs, reduce wastage, and improve operational efficiency.
• Act as the primary operational link between factory and management
• Take over responsibilities from the retiring manager and report directly to the owner

Experience:

• Minimum 5–8 years’ experience in a food processing / FMCG / manufacturing company
• Strong exposure to factory operations and people management

Skills & Requirements:

• Strong inventory control and reporting skills
• Excellent manpower handling ability
• Good English communication is mandatory (spoken & basic written)
• Working knowledge of Excel / basic reporting tools preferred
• Ability to work independently and take ownership

Preferred:

• Gujarati candidate with practical, ground-level factory experience
• Leadership mindset and long-term commitment

Duration & Working Conditions

• Location of Work: Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania
