Job Description:
Job Purpose
The Sales Coordinator – SCM plays a critical role in bridging sales, supply chain, production, and logistics to ensure smooth order execution, timely deliveries, accurate documentation, and high customer satisfaction in the construction chemicals business.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Coordination
- Coordinate with sales teams to process sales orders, forecasts, and dispatch plans.
- Track order status from receipt to final delivery and provide timely updates to sales and customers.
- Maintain sales MIS, order trackers, and customer records.
Supply Chain & Order Management
- Coordinate with production, planning, and warehouse teams to ensure product availability.
- Align dispatch schedules with project timelines and customer commitments.
- Monitor inventory levels and support demand planning activities.
Logistics & Dispatch
- Coordinate with transporters for timely and cost-effective dispatches.
- Ensure compliance with delivery timelines, site requirements, and safety norms.
- Handle delivery-related escalations and resolve issues proactively.
Documentation & Compliance
- Prepare and manage invoices, delivery challans, e-way bills, COAs, and other statutory documents.
- Ensure accuracy in billing, pricing, discounts, and taxation as per company policy.
- Support audit and compliance requirements related to sales and logistics.
Customer & Internal Coordination
- Act as a single point of contact for customers regarding order status and dispatch queries.
- Coordinate with finance for credit limits, collections follow-ups, and reconciliations.
- Support key project customers with priority planning and execution.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong coordination and communication skills
- Understanding of construction chemicals / building materials
- Knowledge of SCM processes, order-to-cash cycle
- Proficiency in ERP systems (ERP)
- MS Excel (MIS, trackers, reporting)
- Problem-solving and multitasking ability
Qualifications & Experience
- Graduate / MBA / Diploma in Supply Chain, Operations, or Business Management
- 2–5 years of experience in sales coordination or SCM (construction chemicals preferred)
- Experience handling project-based sales and bulk dispatches is an advantage
