Financial Controller (US Accounting)

Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced US Controller to oversee end-to-end accounting operations, financial reporting, and compliance. This role requires strong hands-on capability along with the maturity to manage financial controls, reviews, and stakeholder communication. The ideal candidate should be comfortable owning the numbers and ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end accounting operations, including GL, AP, AR, payroll, and month-end/year-end close.
• Review and finalise financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and statutory requirements.
• Lead and review work performed by accounting teams; provide guidance and quality checks.
• Handle financial analysis, variance analysis, and management reporting.
• Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, and external stakeholders.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash-flow management.
• Act as a key point of contact for finance-related discussions with clients/management.

Required Skills & Experience

• Experience in accounting and financial reporting, with exposure to controller-level responsibilities.
• Strong command over month-end close, reporting, and financial controls.
• Experience reviewing work prepared by teams and ensuring accuracy.
• Hands-on experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, Xero, SAP, or similar ERPs.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and compliance.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of deliverables.

Preferred Qualifications

• CA / CPA / ACCA or equivalent finance qualification (preferred).
• Experience working with international clients is a strong plus.
• Strong communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
