Costing Engineer: Optimize Profits in Sheet Metal Sheet Metal Manufacturing Industry
Location: Waluj MIDC, Chh. Sambhaji Nagar (or nearby)
👉 Role Overview:
Bridge engineering, procurement, and finance as a Costing Engineer with 2–6 years in sheet metal. Drive profitability through precise estimations, cost analysis, and optimization—essential for strategic decision-making in a competitive manufacturing environment.
👉 Key Responsibilities:
⦁ Cost Estimation & Analysis: Perform Zero-Based Costing (ZBC) for parts, evaluating raw materials (RM), machine hour rates (MHR), labor, and overheads.
⦁ RFQ Management: Study drawings for customer RFQs, verify specs, and deliver feasible quotes on time.
⦁ Variance Analysis: Track project budgets, identify deviations, and implement corrections to avoid overruns.
⦁ Material & Scrap Optimization: Calculate input weights, utilization percentages, and minimize costs via nesting and scrap analysis (laser, plasma, etc.).
⦁ Customer & Vendor Interaction: Handle technical/commercial queries, negotiate vendor pricing for RM and bought-outs.
⦁ Cost Reduction Initiatives: Lead VAVE (Value Analysis/Value Engineering) for design/process savings.

👉 Technical Skills Required:
⦁ Deep knowledge of sheet metal processes: stamping, bending, welding, laser cutting, surface treatments.
⦁ Proficiency in AutoCAD/SolidWorks for reviews, SAP/ERP for tracking, advanced MS Excel for modeling.
⦁ Familiarity with GD&T, APQP/PPAP for development.
👉 Experience & Qualifications:
⦁ Education: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, or Industrial Engineering.
⦁ Experience: 4–6 years in product costing, focused on sheet metal or automotive.
⦁ Salary: Competitive (up to ₹5–6 LPA based on profile).
