Job Description:
Position: New Product Development Head (01 No)
Company Profile: Satin Finish Electroplating, Satin Finish Handle Bar, Sari Guard & Leg Guard, Trailing Arm Assembly, Auto Components, Manufacturer, Aurangabad, India
Educational Qualifications: BE (Mech.)/DME
Desired Experience: 12+ years experience in a Manufacturing company preferably in the Automobile industry.
CTC: 8 to 10 Lac.
Skills Set required/Job Profile :
- Provide inputs to MD in developing a robust strategy for the department with respect to Component Development
- Work closely with the customer to understand and develop the design as per the requirement of the customers
- Ensure timely goal setting, monitoring, review of performance parameters and feedback to team members
- Oversee training and capability building of employees of the department
- Develop the capabilities to take on higher responsibilities while performing the given / in-charge responsibilities at various levels within the functions
- Receive Drawing from the customer and ensure necessary changes are made in the component design for the product
- Finalize manufacturing drawings in consultation with the customer and try to optimize the lead time for manufacturing, tool cost and ease of processing; ensure drawings are updated as per finalized changes
- Finalize drawings, design parameters and BOM (Bill of Material) for the proposed product design
- Ensure the item code of the material list in SAP up-to-date by coordinating with the IT department
- Oversee parameters for different equipment steps, as per the design of new product and sequence of manufacturing processes for proposed product design
- Create documentation around production development processes and hand over the production layout to Production team post-approval from MD and production head
