Job Description:
Role Objective
To lead and control the assigned AOD and CCM sections' operations, ensuring consistent casting quality, equipment reliability, adherence to metallurgical standards, and seamless coordination across shifts for uninterrupted production.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Supervision: Supervise and lead the overall operations of the AOD and CCM sections during the assigned shift, ensuring standard operating procedures are followed.
- Process Monitoring: Ensure stable casting and refining operations by monitoring key process parameters (e.g., temperatures, pressures, flow rates, chemical compositions) in both the AOD and CCM.
- Material Management: Oversee the charging of various materials into the AOD vessel in a timely manner to maintain performance, and monitor the availability of ferroalloys and other required materials.
- Quality Control: Monitor liquid metal samples, coordinate with quality teams, and ensure adherence to metallurgical and quality standards.
- Maintenance Coordination: Coordinate with the mechanical and electrical maintenance teams for any breakdowns, major repairs, and preventive maintenance activities to ensure good equipment health.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to all safety protocols and regulations within the plant.
- Troubleshooting & Analysis: Troubleshoot operational issues, perform route cause analysis for production problems, and implement corrective actions.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain production records and report on key production metrics and any deviations to superiors.
- Team Management: Supervise, train, and guide operators and subordinates, ensuring effective resource allocation and communication within the shift team.
