Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

1. Manpower Planning & Recruitment

  • Coordinate manpower requirements with Project Managers and Site Engineers

  • Handle recruitment of site staff, engineers, supervisors, technicians, and labor

  • Coordinate with contractors for deployment of skilled and unskilled manpower

  • Maintain project-wise manpower deployment records

2. Joining, Attendance & Payroll Coordination

  • Manage employee onboarding, documentation, and induction

  • Maintain attendance through biometric/manual muster rolls

  • Coordinate monthly payroll inputs with the Accounts team

  • Track overtime, leave, and absenteeism

3. Statutory Compliance (Construction Focus)

Ensure compliance with the following labor laws:

  • PF, ESI, Bonus, Gratuity

  • Contract Labour (Regulation & Abolition) Act – CLRA

  • Building & Other Construction Workers (BOCW) Act

  • Minimum Wages Act

  • Maintain statutory registers and compliance records

  • Coordinate labor inspections and audits

  • Follow up with contractors for PF/ESI enrollment and statutory adherence

4. Contractor & Labor Management

  • Maintain contractor records, agreements, and licenses

  • Verify statutory documents of contractors and labor

  • Monitor contractor manpower attendance and wage disbursement

  • Handle site-level worker grievances

5. Employee Relations & Discipline

  • Address employee grievances and resolve site HR issues

  • Support disciplinary actions, warnings, and notices

  • Ensure clear communication between management and site employees

6. HR Documentation & MIS

  • Maintain employee files (physical and digital)

  • Prepare HR MIS reports: manpower status, attrition, compliance

  • Support internal and external audits

7. Coordination & Support

  • Coordinate with Accounts, Admin, Safety, and Project teams

  • Support site mobilization and demobilization activities

  • Assist in HR policy implementation and employee awareness


Desired Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of construction labor laws and statutory compliance

  • Experience handling blue-collar workforce

  • Excellent coordination, follow-up, and documentation skills

  • Good communication skills (Hindi & English mandatory; local language preferred)

  • Proficiency in MS Excel and HR record management
