industry, specializing in the manufacture of Intraocular Lenses (IOLs) and ophthalmic
surgical products. With a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility and corporate
headquarters at Dabhasa (Padra), and a workforce of over 2,200 employees, we are a

Role Overview
We are seeking a seasoned functional lead in the HR domain to lead our people
operations across our company, including the corporate office and the manufacturing
facility.
This is a 100% on-site role that requires a strategic leader who can navigate the
complexities of a large-scale manufacturing environment while maintaining the personal
touch of a family business. The ideal candidate will be a master of the New Indian Labour
Codes and possess the gravitas to manage high-level talent acquisition and a diverse,
multi-tiered workforce.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic HR Planning & Culture Integration
 Business Strategy Alignment: Develop and implement HR initiatives that directly
support the company's global export goals and manufacturing excellence.
 Cultural Stewardship: Adapt to and preserve our "close-knit" family culture,
acting as a bridge between the promoters and the workforce to foster a positive,
high-performance environment.
 HR Metrics & Analytics: Provide data-driven reports to management to support
critical decision-making regarding workforce productivity and cost management.
2. High-Stakes Talent Acquisition
 Senior-Level Hiring: Personally lead the search and selection for executive and
senior management roles, ensuring top-tier talent alignment with company
values.
 Diverse Workforce Lifecycle: Manage the end-to-end recruitment and
onboarding process for:
o White-Collar Professionals: Corporate, sales, and engineering talent.

o Permanent Blue-Collar Employees: Ensuring long-term stability in our
production lines.
o Temporary/Contractual Workforce: Strategic management of flexible
labor to meet varying production demands.

3. Compliance & Risk Management
 New Labour Codes: Ensure the organization is 100% compliant with the Code on
Wages (2019), Industrial Relations Code (2020), Social Security Code (2020),
and OSH Code (2020).
 Grievance Redressal: Act as the primary mediator for employee grievances,
ensuring legal compliance and industrial harmony in the Vadodara district.
4. Performance & Talent Management
 Evaluation Systems: Oversee performance management systems that recognize
both technical skill and cultural fit.
 Employee Development: Identify training needs across the plant and office,
managing robust development and succession plans.
5. Compensation & Benefits
 Pay Structure: Maintain and optimize pay plans and benefits programs.

 Benchmarking: Regularly analyse compensation surveys to ensure our 10+ LPA-
tier talent are competitively compensated.

Qualifications & Experience
 Education: MBA in HR or Post-Graduate degree in ‘Human Resources
Management’ from a premier institute (e.g., IIMs, XLRI, TISS) is highly preferred.
 Experience: 12–18 years of core HR experience, with at least 5 years in a senior
leadership role within a ‘Pharmaceuticals’ or ‘Medical Devices’ manufacturing
setup.
 Technical Expertise: Expert-level knowledge of Indian Labour Laws and the
recent 2025 implementations.
o Proven track record in managing both unionized and non-unionized
workforces.

 Culture Fit: Prior experience in a family-owned or promoter-driven business is
essential to understand the nuances of the organization.
 Logistics: Must be willing to work on-site at Dabhasa, Tal. Padra: No remote or
hybrid options are available.
