Job Description:
A Senior Electrical Maintenance Engineer in a press shop with robotics in Chh. Sambhaji Nagar would typically be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and programming of complex electrical and automation systems within an automotive manufacturing environment. The job description encompasses hands-on work, team supervision, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Breakdown & Preventive Maintenance: Leading and executing preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance activities for all electrical systems and equipment in the press and robotic weld shops.
- Robotics and Automation Management: Handling electrical troubleshooting, maintenance, teaching, and programming of industrial robots (e.g., Kuka, Fanuc, Yaskawa) and associated automation projects.
- System Troubleshooting: Performing advanced fault finding and diagnosis on electric, electronic, and hydraulic circuits, with expertise in PLC, HMI, SCADA, VFD/Drives, and sensors.
- Process Improvement: Conducting root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring issues and implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to minimize downtime (MTTR/MTBF).
- Documentation & Compliance: Maintaining accurate records of all maintenance activities, preparing daily/weekly/monthly reports, managing spare parts inventory, and ensuring compliance with IATF, ISO, and safety regulations.
- Team Leadership: Supervising and guiding a team of junior engineers and technicians, ensuring all work is performed safely and efficiently.
- Project Support: Assisting with the installation, commissioning, and integration of new machinery and electrical systems (CAPEX projects).
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Education: A Bachelor's degree/Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation Engineering.
- Experience: Relevant experience (typically 4-8+ years) in electrical maintenance within a high-volume manufacturing environment, specifically automotive press or sheet metal industries.
- Technical Knowledge:
- Strong knowledge of PLC programming and troubleshooting (e.g., Siemens, Allen Bradley).
- Hands-on experience with industrial robots and welding systems.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and technical drawings.
- Familiarity with systems like Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Conveyors, and Cranes.
