Job Summary
The Industrial Sales Engineer is responsible for driving sales of industrial products, systems, or solutions by combining technical expertise with consultative selling. The role involves identifying customer requirements, proposing technically sound solutions, managing the sales cycle, and building long-term relationships with OEMs, end users, and channel partners.
Sales & Business Development

Identify and develop new business opportunities in assigned industrial segments (manufacturing, power, oil & gas, chemicals, infrastructure, etc.).

Achieve sales targets for products, projects, and solutions in the assigned territory.

Conduct market mapping, lead generation, and competitor analysis.

Prepare and present technical and commercial proposals to customers.

Negotiate pricing, contracts, and commercial terms in coordination with management.
Technical & Application Support

Understand customer processes and translate requirements into appropriate technical solutions.

Provide product selection, sizing, and application engineering support.

Conduct technical presentations, product demonstrations, and site visits.

Coordinate with engineering, production, and service teams to ensure feasibility and delivery.
Customer Relationship Management

Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, consultants, and EPC contractors.

Act as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the sales cycle.

Handle customer queries, objections, and post-order technical clarifications.

Ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business.

Order Management & Coordination

Manage the complete order lifecycle from inquiry to order closure.

Coordinate with internal teams for order processing, delivery schedules, and documentation.

Support project execution and resolve technical or commercial issues as required.
Reporting & Compliance

Maintain accurate sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and CRM updates.

Prepare regular sales reports for management review.

Ensure compliance with company policies, pricing guidelines, and ethical standards.
Qualifications
Education
-
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Industrial, or related discipline).
