Job Description:

To check the work place conditions of area where as work permit is to be executed.
To check that deputed persons are complying with safety rules of use of PPE.
To ensure the availability of PPE s, hydrant water and portable fire extinguishers in area.
To prepare the standard operating procedure of "personnel protective equipment's"
PPE shall be checked and inspected periodically by safety officer.
To ensure that all fire extinguishers installed at work place are appropriate numbered, workable and healthy in condition.
To ensure the compliance of sop and training to manpower for operation and uses of the fire extinguishers
Responsible to train the fire fighters for operation and use of suitable and specific fire extinguishers.
To ensure that adequate fire hydrant system and water pressure is available at all plants/ sites all time.
To ensure the compliance of SOP and training to rescue team for operation of the fire hydrant system.
To ensure the preventive maintenance/ maintenance of fire hydrant system frequently or on specific requirement.
To ensure the healthiness and trial of hydrant pumps on daily basis.
To ensure the frequently testing of hose pipe for its healthiness.
To Up keep the record of checking and maintenance of safety shower.
To draft the MSDS of chemicals and intermediate in company format.
To coordinate with site manager to conduct the identification of hazards and risk assessment in process/activity running at the work place.
To arrange the necessary requirements for conducting the mock drill
To check that peoples are complying with safety rules of appropriate use of PPE s.
To ensure the availability of PPE s, hydrant water and portable fire extinguishers at area.
To prepare Annual Safety Audit Plan.
To coordinate with EHS Head, audit team members and auditee for conducting the internal safety audit.
To compile the report of findings of unsafe conditions or observations.
To coordinate with auditee for the compliance of audit report and CАРА.
To train the members of safety department how to use the detectors for checking the emission.
To coordinate with Instrumentation department for calibration of detectors.
To look after the EHS and other activities of both companies
