Jr Accountant

Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations and statutory compliance. The role involves handling accounting entries, GST filings, invoicing, reconciliations, and basic taxation work while ensuring accurate financial records. The candidate will work closely with the accounts team to manage transactions, reports, and documentation related to purchases, sales, expenses, and bank activities.

Required Skills

• Hands-on experience with general ledger accounting

• Good problem-solving skills

• Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office

• Ability to multitask and prioritize work effectively

Roles & Responsibilities

• Handle accounting activities such as cash, bank, assets, and report generation

• Calculate and prepare TDS workings

• Maintain documentation related to:

  • Direct and indirect tax

  • Legal and statutory compliance

  • Customs documentation (import/export) including preparation, filing, reporting, and follow-ups

• Data entry in Tally Prime

• Prepare sales invoices and verify purchase invoices

• Maintain stock records

• File GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-2, GSTR-3B)

• Purchase booking and expense reporting

• Pass JV entries

• Record purchase, sales, and expense entries

• Perform bank reconciliation

• Manage accounting records

• Handle purchase and sales payments

• Reconciliation of accounts
