We are hiring a VMC Operator in Ahmedabad.

Job Description – VMC Operator (Die & Mould Manufacturing)
Department: Manufacturing / Tool Room
Reports To: Production Manager / Tool Room Head
Key Responsibilities:
 Read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T specifications, and 3D CAD
models for precision Die & Mould components.
 Set up and operate Vertical Machining Centres (VMC) for machining mould parts
such as cavities, cores, inserts, plates, electrodes, and die components.
 Select suitable cutting tools, tool holders, fixtures, and workholding devices for
various machining operations.
 Load jobs and accurately set machine zero, work offsets, and tool offsets.
 Monitor machining cycles to ensure process stability, cycle time control, and
dimensional accuracy.
 Optimize feeds, speeds, and depth of cut to achieve required surface finish and
tight tolerances.
 Perform in-process and final inspection using Vernier calipers, micrometers, bore
gauges, height gauges, and surface roughness testers.
 Maintain machining records, tool life logs, daily production reports, and
inspection data as per company procedures.
 Carry out preventive maintenance activities including lubrication, coolant level
checks, chip removal, and machine cleaning.
 Ensure adherence to machine shop safety standards, 5S, and housekeeping
practices.
 Coordinate with Tool Room, Design, and Quality teams for continuous process
and productivity improvements.
Skills & Competencies:
 Strong knowledge of VMC operations for Die & Mould manufacturing.
 Familiarity with tool steels, heat-treated materials, and precision machining
requirements.
 Quality-focused approach with attention to detail.
 Ability to work independently and meet production timelines.
