 Position:          Manager - R&D

Responsibilities:       

• Achieve the budgeted figures regarding new business development. Work closely with sales team to achieve new business development targets.
• Understand the Customers Technical & other requirements related to new enquires of PVC Compounds & PVC Tubes.
• Do the Planning to Develop PVC compound/PVC Tube as per customer requirements.
• In planning stage following activities need to consider :-
• Approval from Business Head to take-up project.
• Arrangement of required Raw materials for development.
• Processing machinery selection
• Material testing plan
• Third party testing requirements
• Plan testes to ensure Product performance.
• Time frame for Development
• As per inputs received for development, Develop the formulations of PVC Compounds which can fulfill customers requirements related to performance of product and it should be economically viable.
• Attend the new development production trials at customer end to set processing of new compound on customer’s machine.
• Follow-up with sales team to get customer feedbacks on development samples, pilot lot orders.
• Ensure smooth transition of new enquiries received from customer to development of new Business.
• Risk assessment of new projects, Review risk associated with new projects; take initiative to prepare & implement risk mitigation plan.
• Ensure sustenance of new developed business, provide Technical support tocustomer, plant team wherever required.
• Complete the Development cycle with minimum possible period.
• Review development projects periodically.
• Control the changes in the formulation.
• Take lead for Transfer of projects from sister concerns to MCPP India.
• Coordinate with Japan R & D team & take required support to successfully transfer of the project.
• Prepare validation plan for new grades of Raw materials, take lead for new Raw material validation. Provide approval for new Raw material grades.
• Support Purchase team for Vendor Evaluation through onsite audits.
• Attend the Quality concerns received from the customer, if require visit to the customer to attend the problem.
• Work with Quality team to do Root cause analysis & finalize the corrective action to avoid recurrence of the same issue.
• Support plant team to analyse the non confirming material produced, provide solution for disposal of NC material.
• Provide solution to Queries raised during in process inspection, Raw material inspection, Finished good inspection.
• Release specifications for Finished goods grades.
• Release specifications for Raw material grades.
• Support plant team to preparation of new SOP or amend existing SOP if
• To provide Technical training to sales team, Quality team, Production team.
• To provide on Job training to Shop floor employees.

Required Skills:

• Support plan team for QMS (ISO 9001: 2015) related activities, support to face external audits.
• Support plant team to face customer audits, audit related documentation
• Support plan team to solve processing issues faced during production.
• Good command in English

Required Qualification:- B.E/B.Tech - Polymer/Plastic/M.Sc - Chemistry

Salary :- Upto 16.00 LPA
