Job Description:
An IT Executive manages an organization's technology infrastructure (hardware, software, networks, security), provides technical support, oversees IT staff/projects, aligns tech with business goals, manages budgets, and ensures system security, often bridging daily operations with strategic IT planning to drive efficiency and innovation. Key duties include managing infrastructure, resolving issues, implementing policies, coordinating vendors, and keeping up with tech trends.
Key Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Management: Oversee servers, networks, devices, ERP systems, and cloud services, ensuring peak performance.
- Technical Support: Provide helpdesk support, troubleshoot hardware/software, and resolve user issues efficiently.
- Security & Data: Implement security measures (like 2FA), manage backups, enforce data security policies, and monitor for threats.
- Strategy & Planning: Develop IT strategies, manage budgets, advise management on new tech, and align IT with business objectives.
- Project & Vendor Management: Lead IT projects, coordinate with external vendors, and manage contracts.
- Staff & Policy: Manage IT team, implement policies, and ensure staff awareness.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
- Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and problem-solving.
- Expertise in IT infrastructure, security, networking, and relevant software.
- Ability to stay updated with emerging technologies.
Role Variations
- Smaller Companies: May be hands-on, handling day-to-day support and infrastructure.
