Eligibility Criteria

🎓 Qualification:

  • MD (Anesthesia / Pulmonary Medicine)

  • IDCCM (Mandatory)

🕒 Experience:

  • 2–4 years of post-qualification experience as a Critical Care Specialist

  • Experience in a reputed multi-specialty or tertiary care hospital preferred

🗣 Interview Mode: Telephonic / Face-to-Face

Role & Responsibilities

The Attending Consultant – Critical Care will be responsible for delivering high-quality, evidence-based care to critically ill patients and ensuring smooth ICU operations. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing ICU patients, including medical, surgical, and post-operative critical cases

  • Handling ventilator management, invasive and non-invasive ventilation, and airway procedures

  • Providing 24×7 emergency critical care services as per duty roster

  • Conducting daily ICU rounds, treatment planning, and patient monitoring

  • Coordinating with multidisciplinary teams including surgeons, physicians, anesthetists, nursing staff, and allied departments

  • Performing and supervising ICU procedures such as central line insertion, arterial lines, intubation, tracheostomy care, etc.

  • Ensuring adherence to ICU protocols, infection control guidelines, and patient safety standards

  • Communicating effectively with patients’ families regarding clinical status and treatment plans

  • Maintaining accurate medical records, documentation, and clinical notes

  • Participating in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and protocol development

  • Supporting training and guidance of junior doctors, residents, and ICU staff

  • Strong clinical expertise in critical care medicine

  • Sound knowledge of ventilator strategies, sepsis management, and organ support

  • Ability to perform under high-pressure emergency situations

  • Excellent communication and team coordination skills
