Job Description – Executive - PPC (Wind Tower Manufacturing)
Position Title: Executive PPC
Department: Production Planning & Control
Reporting To: PPC Manager / Operations Head
Location: Silvassa & Salary is Negotiable
Role Overview:
The PPC Manager will be responsible for leading the production planning and control function
to ensure smooth, cost-effective, and timely manufacturing of wind towers. The role involves
aligning production schedules with customer demand, optimizing resources, coordinating with
procurement and manufacturing teams, monitoring project timelines, and ensuring compliance
with quality and safety standards.
Key Reponsibilities:
1. Production Planning & Scheduling
o Develop and implement master production schedules (MPS) for wind tower
manufacturing.
o Ensure alignment of production plans with customer delivery schedules and
project timelines.
o Monitor work orders, material availability, and production progress.
2. Material & Resource Planning
o Coordinate with procurement for timely availability of raw materials (steel
plates, flanges, welding consumables, etc.).
o Plan manpower, machinery, and tool requirements in line with production
demand.
o Monitor inventory levels and implement lean manufacturing practices to reduce
wastage.
3. Process & Capacity Management
o Analyze production capacity and optimize utilization of fabrication, welding,
blasting, painting, and assembly facilities.
o Identify bottlenecks in production and implement corrective actions.
o Support continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen).
4. Monitoring & Control
o Track daily/weekly/monthly production against plans and report variances.
o Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and delivery targets (SQD).
o Coordinate with QA/QC for inspections, certifications, and dispatch clearance.
5. Cross-Functional Coordination
o Work closely with design, procurement, logistics, and project management
teams.
o Liaise with clients for project planning, delivery schedules, and change
management.
o Support after-sales and service teams with spare parts or repair schedules.
6. Data Analysis & Reporting
o Maintain MIS reports on production performance, material consumption, and
order fulfillment.
o Forecast demand trends and adjust production schedules accordingly.
o Prepare monthly reports for management review.
Key Skills & Competencies:
Strong knowledge of wind tower manufacturing processes (plate cutting, rolling,
welding, NDT, painting, assembly).
Expertise in production planning tools (ERP, SAP, MS Project, or similar).
Sound understanding of inventory control, material management, and supply chain
coordination.
Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills.
Excellent leadership, communication, and team management abilities.
Knowledge of industry standards (ISO, OSHA, OHSAS, ASME, etc.).
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Production/Industrial Engineering (Master’s degree
preferred).
5–7 years of experience in Production Planning & Control, preferably in heavy
fabrication / wind tower / renewable energy / steel structures industry.
Proven track record in handling large-scale manufacturing projects with multiple
stakeholders.

On-time delivery performance (%).
Production schedule adherence.
Inventory turnover ratio.
Capacity utilization efficiency.
Cost reduction & productivity improvements.
Customer satisfaction score (delivery & quality).
