Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
- Sales Strategy & Planning
- Develop and implement a robust national sales strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Identify new business opportunities, markets, and customer segments.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to drive sales initiatives.
- Key Account & Channel Management
- Manage relationships with modern trade, distributors, wholesalers, and large institutional clients.
- Ensure growth in penetration, visibility, and sales volume across all channels.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and promotional schemes with key accounts.
- Team Leadership & Development
- Lead a team of regional and state sales managers, area managers, and sales executives.
- Define sales targets, KPIs, and performance evaluation metrics for the team.
- Conduct regular training, coaching, and motivation programs to build a high-performing sales team.
- Revenue & Target Management
- Achieve annual and quarterly sales targets across all product categories.
- Track sales performance, analyze deviations, and implement corrective actions.
- Drive initiatives to increase revenue, profitability, and market share.
- Marketing & Brand Support
- Collaborate with marketing and product teams to implement product launches and promotional campaigns.
- Ensure brand visibility and positioning in key markets and channels.
- Support trade marketing initiatives for customer engagement and activation.
- Reporting & Analytics
- Prepare and present regular MIS, sales reports, and dashboards to management.
- Analyze regional and product-wise performance and make strategic recommendations.
Qualifications
- MBA in Sales, Marketing, or Business Administration (preferred).
- Graduate degree in Commerce, Business, or a related field is acceptable.
- Strong knowledge of FMCG / Frozen Foods / Packaged Foods sales and distribution networks.
- Proven experience in leading national sales teams and driving revenue growth.
- Proficient in sales analytics, CRM tools, and reporting.
