Job Title: Accountant & Tax Specialist

Experience: 5-10 Years

Location:Mumbai

 

Role Overview:

The Accountant & Tax Specialist (India) will be responsible for managing the complete spectrum of accounting operations, statutory compliance, direct and indirect taxation, and financial reporting for the India entity of CRTS Global. This role ensures accurate accounting, timely tax filings, adherence to Indian regulatory requirements, and effective coordination with Dubai and global finance teams. The position supports daily finance operations, audits, compliance with Indian GAAP, GST, TDS, PF/ESIC, ROC filings, and alignment of finance processes across international entities.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounting & Financial Operations

l Manage day-to-day accounting activities for the India entity in accordance with Indian GAAP.

l Maintain general ledger, month-end closing activities, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial statements.

l Ensure accurate posting of journals, accruals, prepayments, and provisions.

l Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable, including follow-ups with customers and vendors.

l Coordinate with procurement, logistics, HR, and global finance teams to ensure smooth financial operations.

l Monitor, reconcile, and settle intercompany transactions on a timely basis.

l Oversee employee expense claims, reimbursements, and petty cash management.

l Maintain strict confidentiality and integrity of financial records.

Taxation & Regulatory Compliance (India)

l Manage all statutory compliances, including:

Ø GST: registrations, monthly/quarterly returns, reconciliations, and refund claims.

Ø TDS: deductions, payments, return filings, and 26AS reconciliations.

Ø Income Tax: advance tax computations, tax audit support, assessments, and handling notices.

Ø PF, ESIC, and Professional Tax compliance.

Ø Companies Act compliances, including ROC filings and annual returns in coordination with the Company Secretary.

l Liaise with external tax consultants to ensure accurate and timely statutory filings.

l Maintain a statutory compliance calendar and ensure zero-delay submissions.

l Support transfer pricing documentation and intercompany compliance for global entities.

Audit, Controls & Risk Management

l Assist in internal audits, statutory audits, and group audits.

l Prepare audit schedules, supporting documentation, and respond to auditor queries.

l Implement and maintain internal control procedures and SOX-aligned practices where applicable.

l Maintain fixed asset registers, depreciation schedules, and ensure timely capitalization of assets.

Financial Planning, Reporting & Analysis

l Prepare monthly MIS reports, including financial statements, variance analysis, cost analysis, and forecasts.

l Support annual budgeting and mid-year review processes for the India entity.

l Provide analytical insights on cost optimization, operational efficiency, and process improvements.

l Support global FP&A teams with India-specific financial data and analysis.

ERP, Systems & Global Coordination

l Perform accounting, reporting, and data entry in Oracle Fusion (Finance Module); act as a local super-user once trained.

l Coordinate with global finance teams (Dubai, USA, KSA) on finance policies, shared services processes, and reconciliations.

l Support integration of India payroll, tax, and local accounting requirements into Oracle systems as required.

l Prepare weekly and monthly financial reports for management based in Dubai and other global offices.

Additional Duties

l Support banking operations, vendor payments, salary processing documentation, and customer invoicing.

l Assist with cross-border compliance and ensure adherence to CRTS Global finance policies.

l Perform other finance-related tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications & Experience:

Education

l Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance (B.Com / M.Com).

l CA Inter / Qualified CA / CMA preferred but not mandatory.

Experience

l 5–10 years of progressive experience in accounting and taxation in India.

l Experience in engineering, manufacturing, EPC, infrastructure, or project-based industries preferred.

l Prior experience working with multinational or global teams is an advantage.

Technical & Functional Skills

l Strong working knowledge of:

Ø Indian GAAP

Ø GST, TDS, and Income Tax

Ø PF, ESIC, and Professional Tax

Ø Companies Act compliances

Ø Transfer pricing (preferred)

l Hands-on experience with ERP systems; Oracle Fusion experience is an advantage.

l Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office tools.
