Job Description:

JD for Senior Merchandiser

Buyer & Order Handling
 Handle end-to-end merchandising activities from order receipt to shipment.
 Act as the main point of contact for buyers and buying houses for assigned styles.
 Manage buyer communication related to sampling, costing, approvals, and order execution.
Sampling & Development
 Coordinate with design, sampling, and technical teams for proto, fit, PP, and size-set samples.
 Ensure timely submission of samples and implement buyer comments accurately.
 Track sample approvals and update all stakeholders accordingly.
Costing & Order Execution
 Prepare and update costings in coordination with IE, sourcing, and production teams.
 Support price negotiations and ensure order profitability.
 Prepare and share detailed BOM, tech packs, and T&A plans.
Production Coordination
 Coordinate with production, planning, IE, QA, and sourcing teams for smooth order execution.
 Monitor production progress and proactively address delays, shortages, or quality issues.
 Ensure raw material availability as per production schedule.
Quality & Compliance
 Ensure garments are produced as per buyer specifications and approved samples.
 Coordinate with QA/QC teams for inline and final inspections.
 Support buyer audits and compliance requirements related to assigned orders.
Documentation & Shipment
 Ensure timely preparation of order-related documentation and handover to export
documentation team.
 Track shipment schedules and ensure on-time dispatch.
Reporting & Team Support
 Maintain style-wise MIS and update management on order status and risks.
 Guide and support junior merchandisers and coordinators.
