Job Description:
Responsibilities:
- Developing and Implementing HSE Policies: Creating and updating health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures to align with legal requirements and organizational goals.
- Risk Assessment and Management: Identifying potential hazards, conducting risk assessments, and implementing control measures to mitigate risks.
- Incident Investigation and Reporting: Investigating accidents, near misses, and other incidents, analysing root causes, and recommending corrective actions.
- Training and Awareness: Developing and delivering training programs to educate employees on safety procedures, emergency response, and environmental protection.
- Compliance and Auditing: Ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations, conducting audits, and monitoring performance.
- Emergency Response Planning: Developing and maintaining emergency response plans and procedures to effectively manage potential emergencies.
- Environmental Management: Implementing measures to minimize the organization's environmental impact, such as waste reduction, pollution prevention, and resource conservation.
- Stakeholder Communication: Communicating HSE requirements and performance to employees, management, and regulatory bodies. Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and best practices: Thorough understanding of relevant legislation, standards, and industry best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills: Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization and external stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills: Ability to identify hazards, assess risks, and develop effective solutions.
- Leadership and management skills: Ability to lead and motivate teams, manage projects, and drive HSE performance.
- Experience in conducting audits and investigations: Ability to conduct thorough investigations and audits to identify areas for improvement.
- Relevant qualifications: A degree in a related field (e.g., occupational health and safety, environmental science, engineering) and relevant certifications are often required.
