Role Purpose
The Chief Strategy Officer will act as a strategic partner to the Chairman, MD, and Board, responsible for shaping, governing, and driving the group’s long-term strategy. The role focuses on enterprise-wide growth, diversification, governance, and execution discipline, ensuring that strategic priorities are translated into measurable outcomes across all businesses.
Key Responsibilities
The CSO will lead the formulation and execution of group-level strategy, including long-term growth roadmaps, annual operating plans, and portfolio prioritization across businesses and geographies. The role requires close collaboration with the Chairman, MD, and CXO leadership to align strategic intent with execution capability.
The CSO will evaluate new business opportunities, diversification initiatives, strategic investments, partnerships, and M&A opportunities, assessing strategic fit, risk, and long-term value creation. This includes overseeing business case development, market intelligence, and integration planning where applicable.
A core mandate of the role is to establish and institutionalize governance, performance management, and execution frameworks. The CSO will drive group-wide KPI structures, CXO scorecards, MIS dashboards, and structured review mechanisms to ensure transparency, accountability, and timely decision-making at the Board and promoter level.
The role will operate from the Office of the Chairman / MD, acting as a trusted advisor on strategic priorities, special initiatives, and cross-functional programs. The CSO will ensure alignment across businesses, resolve execution bottlenecks, and maintain focus on high-impact priorities.
The CSO will also support organization design, leadership capability building, and senior talent integration for critical strategic roles, ensuring that strategy is supported by the right structure and leadership depth.
