Job Title : Regional Manager – Sales & Marketing (P&B Division)
Location : Regional (Gujrat & Kolkata)
Department / Division : Sales & Marketing (P&B Division) 
Reporting to General Manager-Sales
Reported by Sales Executives/Engineers, Service Engineers
Employee Headcount : Managed 5-6 People
Overall Purpose/Objective Of the job

To manage sales and service operations in the assigned region for the Packing & Bagging division, ensuring revenue growth, customer satisfaction, and smooth execution of service calls. The role requires strong sales acumen, customer relationship management, and direct responsibility for deputation and monitoring of service engineers.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Revenue Growth

·         Achieve regional sales targets for packing and bagging machinery.

·         Identify new opportunities, emerging markets, and customer segments.

·         Support divisional sales strategies and contribute to overall business growth.

Customer Relationship Management

·         Build and maintain strong client relationships in the assigned region.

·         Provide solutions-oriented support for new projects, retrofits, and after-sales needs.

Service Coordination & Deputation

·         Responsible for deputation of service engineers in the region.

·         Ensure proper coordination of service calls.

·         Monitor assignment of service engineers and track timely resolution of customer issues.

·         Oversee installation and commissioning of machines in the region.

After-Sales Business Development

·         Drive sales of spare parts and retrofits in assigned region.

·         Ensure service quality contributes to customer retention and repeat business.

Team Leadership & Mentorship

·         Guide sales executives and service engineers in execution of responsibilities.

·         Foster collaboration between sales and service teams for seamless customer experience.

Sales Operations & Reporting

  • ·         Ensure proper use of CRM tools to track leads, opportunities, service calls, and performance.
  • Submit regional sales, service, and revenue reports to management with realistic forecasts.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  •  Work closely with engineering, proposals, and marketing teams to align sales strategies with product capabilities.
  • Provide customer feedback to design and R&D teams for product improvements.

 Accountabilities

  • Accountable for regional sales revenue, service coordination, and customer satisfaction.
  • Responsible for timely deputation of service engineers and smooth installation/commissioning.
  • Decisions directly impact regional business growth, customer retention, and company reputation.
  • Operates with moderate autonomy; strategic directions require CEO’s consultation.
  • Know - How
  • Education:  BE/B.Tech – Mechanical, Electrical (mandatory).  MBA in Marketing preferred.
  • Experience: 10–12 years in sales leadership roles within capital equipment or packaging machinery industries.

Skills:  

  1. Strong negotiation and customer engagement skills.
  2. Proficiency in CRM systems and reporting tools.
  3. Knowledge of service management, installation, and commissioning processes.
  4. Ability to lead and inspire regional sales and service teams.
Managerial Know-How: Ability to manage regional teams and coordinate with cross-functional departments.
 Problem Solving
  • Requires evaluative judgment in balancing sales growth with service delivery.
  • Must resolve customer challenges through effective coordination of sales and service teams.
  • Operates within defined frameworks but often needs to innovate solutions for regional customer needs.

Communication Requirements

  • Regular interaction with customers, agents, consultants, service engineers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Must communicate sales strategies, service updates, and performance reports clearly to Management.
  • Requires tact, influence, and clarity in negotiations and customer discussions.

    Working Conditions

  • Working remotely from their Region with occasionally travel to HO, Pune office, Factory, customer sites, and internationally.
  •  Exposure to trade fairs, exhibitions, and customer meetings.
  • Must adapt to dynamic business timelines and customer demands.
