Purchase – Manager / Senior Manager

Job Description:

Location: Chhata. UP.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Sourcing:

 Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans to ensure a cost-effective and reliable

supply chain for raw materials required in the manufacturing process.

 Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish long-term

relationships with key vendors.

2. Vendor Management:

 Oversee the performance of existing suppliers, ensuring adherence to quality standards,

delivery schedules, and contractual obligations.

 Conduct regular vendor assessments and implement improvement initiatives to

enhance supplier performance.

3. Cost Management:

 Implement cost-effective measures to optimize procurement processes and reduce

overall purchasing costs without compromising on quality.

 Analyze market trends, monitor commodity prices, and proactively identify

opportunities for cost savings.

4. Contract Negotiation:

 Lead contract negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions,

including pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.

 Ensure that all contracts comply with legal and regulatory requirements.

5. Inventory Control:

 Work closely with the inventory management team to maintain optimal inventory

levels, preventing stockouts and excess inventory.

 Implement efficient inventory control mechanisms to minimize carrying costs.

6. Collaboration:

 Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality control, and

finance, to align procurement activities with overall business goals.

 Foster effective communication and collaboration with internal stakeholders.

7. Compliance:

 Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards in

procurement activities.

 Conduct regular audits to verify adherence to compliance standards.

8. Continuous Improvement:

 Implement continuous improvement initiatives in the procurement process to enhance

efficiency, reduce lead times, and improve overall supply chain performance.

Qualifications and Experience:

 Bachelor's degree in BE / B tech – Mechanical / Electronics / Electrical

 Proven experience in a senior procurement role.

 Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with

suppliers.

 In-depth knowledge of procurement best practices, market trends, and cost management

strategies.

 Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

 Familiarity with relevant SAP software and technology for procurement management.

 Experience 16 to 20 years.
