Position: AGM / DGM – Quality Assurance & Technical Services

Department: Quality (BOPP / BOPET / Metallized Films)

Reporting To: Quality Head / Plant Head

Purpose of the Role

To ensure end-to-end quality assurance, customer satisfaction, compliance to statutory &

international standards, and continuous improvement in BOPP/BOPET/Metallized Films

through robust systems, audits, and technical leadership.

Key Responsibilities

1. Quality Assurance & Control

 Ensure product quality across BOPP, BOPET, Metallized & Coated Films.

 Monitor incoming, in-process, and final inspections as per defined SOPs.

 Review and approve COA, test reports, and quality documentation.

 Handle customer complaints, conduct RCA & CAPA, and ensure closure.

2. Customer & Technical Support

 Lead customer helpline / technical support activities.

 Conduct customer visits, technical trials, and application development support.

 Interface with customers for product validation, quality improvements, and approvals.

3. Audits & Certifications

 Act as Management Representative (MR) for:

o ISO 9001

o ISO 14001

o ISO 45001 / OHSAS

o BRC / QMS / IMS

 Plan and coordinate internal, external, and customer audits.

 Ensure audit compliance, closure of NCs, and system strengthening.

 Proven experience in handling plant-level quality operations as well as customer-facing

technical roles.

Core Experience Requirements

Manufacturing & Process Quality

 Strong hands-on experience in:

o In-process quality control

o Final inspection & release of finished goods

o Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Corrective & Preventive Actions (CAPA)

 Sound understanding of polymer processing, film extrusion, metallization, coating, and

converting processes.

Customer Handling & Technical Interface

 Extensive experience in:

o Handling customer complaints and quality claims

o Conducting customer audits, technical meetings, and trials

o Supporting application development and product validation

 Ability to communicate technical issues clearly with domestic and international customers.

 Hands-on experience as Management Representative (MR) or core team member for:

 

Leadership & Team Management

 Experience in leading and mentoring quality engineers, lab teams, and technical staff.

 Ability to drive quality culture, discipline, and continuous improvement across

departments.

 Cross-functional coordination with **Production, Maintenance, R&D, Marketing

Qualification & Experience

Educational Qualification

B.Sc ( Chemistry) M.Sc / Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / Technology

(Preferred disciplines: Polymer Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Plastics Engineering,

Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent)

 Postgraduate qualification / Diploma in Quality Management will be an added advantage.

 Formal training or certification in ISO / IMS / Quality Systems is desirable.

Professional Experience

 Minimum 18–25 years of relevant experience in Quality Assurance / Quality Control /

Technical Services within the Flexible Packaging / Plastic Films / Polymer Manufacturing

industry, Mandatory exposure to BOPP & BOPET
