Job Description:

Position :       EHS Officer

Location :      Vapi

Experience:   1 - 2 Years

Industries:     Pharma

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor occupational health risks such as noise, chemical exposure, and ergonomics.

  • Develop and maintain emergency response plans
  • Ensure availability and serviceability of emergency equipment
  • Coordinate evacuation drills, fire drills, and first-aid preparedness
  • Report and follow up on unsafe conditions and practices
  • Monitor proper use and condition of PPE
  • Perform regular safety inspections and audits and report findings
  • Monitor implementation of corrective measures
  • Prepare incident investigation reports and recommend corrective and preventive actions
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses
  • Ensure compliance with applicable local and international safety regulations.
  • Maintain safety documentation, permits, and statutory records
  • Liaise with regulatory authorities during audits and inspections
  • Identify workplace hazards and assess risks
  • Develop, implement, and monitor safety policies and procedures
  • Ensure safe work practices are followed at all times
  • Compliance of work permit system
  • Conduct on-the-job and classroom safety training
  • Conduct safety committee meetings
  • Conduct fire drills and mock drills
  • Build and train the ERT (Emergency Response Team) with periodic refresher training
  • Inspection of all fire-fighting equipment and ensuring readiness during emergency conditions
  • Inspection of process equipment from a safety perspective
  • Identification of fire and chemical hazards and evaluation of associated risks
  • Identification and reporting of unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and near-miss incidents
