Job Description:

Position:        Quality Inspector (Paint Shop)

Location:         Vapi

Experience:    1 - 3 Years

Industries:      Automobile

Responsibilities:

• Inspect painted bodies and parts for defects such as runs, sags, orange peel, pinholes, dust, shade variation, blistering, and peeling.
• Perform visual inspection under standard lighting conditions and paint inspection booths.
• Measure paint thickness using DFT (Dry Film Thickness) gauges and ensure compliance with specifications.
• Check color shade, gloss, and appearance as per approved master panels.
• Monitor paint shop processes including pretreatment, E-coat, primer, base coat, and clear coat stages.
• Identify non-conforming products, ensure segregation, and raise NCRs.
• Support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) for paint defects.
• Maintain inspection records, defect trend charts, and daily quality reports.
• Ensure adherence to IATF 16949, 5S, safety, and environmental standards.
• Coordinate with paint shop production and maintenance teams to reduce rework and rejection.

 Required Skills:

• Strong knowledge of automotive paint defects and coating processes.
• Hands-on experience with paint inspection tools (DFT gauge, gloss meter, color comparison panels).
• Understanding of paint shop process flow and quality standards.
• Attention to detail and strong documentation skills.

 Required Qualification: - 12th Pass/ITI/Diploma
