*Job Overview*
We are seeking a proactive and technically sound Project Engineer – Residential Solar to
manage end-to-end execution of residential rooftop solar projects. The role involves
installation planning, site readiness verification, installation quality control, coordination with
internal teams and customers, support for net-metering, and verification of installation invoices
and payment processes to ensure timely and compliant project completion.

*Key Responsibilities*
A. Project Planning & Installation Scheduling
1. Plan and schedule daily and weekly residential solar installations.
2. Allocate installation teams and coordinate site execution timelines.
3. Coordinate with warehouse for material dispatch as per approved BOM.
4. Confirm installation schedules with customers and ensure site readiness.
B. Pre-Installation Site Verification
5. Verify residential site readiness, including rooftop access, safety, shadow-free area,
inverter placement, wiring route, and earthing.
6. Validate approved system capacity, layout, and design feasibility.
7. Ensure all pre-installation documents and approvals are in place.
C. Installation Supervision & Quality Verification
8. Verify installation quality through site visits, photos, videos, and checklists.
9. Ensure correct panel mounting, inverter installation, cable routing, and earthing.
10. Verify compliance with company SOPs, DISCOM norms, and safety standards.
11. Identify deviations and coordinate rework or corrective actions.
D. Post-Installation & Net-Metering Support
12. Confirm installation completion and readiness for commissioning.
13. Verify documentation and photo requirements for DISCOM inspection and netmetering.
14. Coordinate with liaisoning and operations teams for smooth handover.
15. Support site readiness during inspection and commissioning stages.
E. Invoice Verification & Payment Coordination
16. Verify installation completion before approving any vendor or installer invoice.
17. Cross-check invoices against:
• Approved work orders and rates
• Installed system capacity (kW)
• Installation completion and verification reports
18. Validate material utilization as per dispatched BOM.
19. Ensure all supporting documents (photos, completion reports) are attached.
20. Submit verified payment requests and coordinate with Accounts Team.
21. Track payment status and follow up on pending payments.
F. Reporting & Inter-Department Coordination
22. Maintain daily project execution and installation reports.
23. Share verified status with Sales, Operations, Warehouse, and Accounts teams.
24. Act as a coordination bridge between field teams, customers, and internal
departments.
25. Highlight delays, risks, or discrepancies impacting timelines or cost.
G. Customer Coordination (Residential)
26. Communicate with customers regarding installation schedules and requirements.
27. Ensure professional handling of customer queries during execution.
28. Maintain high customer satisfaction during project delivery.
H. Process Improvement & Compliance
29. Ensure adherence to quality, safety, and operational SOPs.
30. Identify recurring execution or billing issues and suggest improvements.
31. Support internal audits by maintaining proper project and payment documentation.

*Qualifications & Skills*
Education
• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering
• ITI (Electrical) with strong residential solar experience may be considered

*Experience*
• 2–5 years of experience in Residential Rooftop Solar EPC projects
• Hands-on experience in installation execution, verification, and coordination

*Skills Required*
• Strong understanding of residential solar installations
• Knowledge of DISCOM norms, net-metering, and safety standards
• Ability to verify installation quality and billing accuracy
• Good planning, coordination, and reporting skills
• Proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets / documentation
• Customer-oriented communication skills
