Job Description:
Position: Security Officer (Ex Army Man)
Location: Vapi
Experience: 1- 2 Years
Industries: Engineering
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate security activities across the safety and security of employees, visitors, contractors, and company assets.
- Implement, monitor, and enforce security & safety policies, SOPs, and statutory guidelines as per industrial standards.
- Manage shift-wise deployment of security personnel to ensure 24/7 coverage, discipline, and compliance with security and safety rules.
- Lead, guide, and evaluate a team of security guards, including shift scheduling, attendance monitoring, performance reviews, and training.
- Ensure strict adherence to industry-specific Security & Safety rules, including fire safety, emergency response, material movement control, and personnel safety.
- Foster a professional work culture promoting teamwork, accountability, and safety awareness among security staff.
- Monitor plant premises using CCTV, surveillance systems, and other security technologies to detect and prevent suspicious activities or security breaches.
- Implement and manage access control systems (gate control, visitor management, ID cards, vehicle entry/exit) to ensure only authorized access to restricted areas.
- Regularly review and update access permissions and security registers in line with operational and organizational requirements.
- Develop, implement, and oversee emergency response and disaster management plans, conducting regular mock drills across all shifts.
- Coordinate with local law enforcement, fire brigade, and emergency services during incidents or emergencies.
- Conduct periodic risk assessments and security audits to identify vulnerabilities and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Collaborate with HR, Administration, Operations, and EHS departments to address security and safety concerns related to manpower, infrastructure, and processes.
- Ensure compliance with industrial safety regulations, statutory norms, and company policies.
- Maintain accurate records of incidents, investigations, daily security reports, shift handovers, and gate movement logs.
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly security performance reports to management with suggestions for improvement.
