Fire & Safety Engineer

Job Description:

• Implement and maintain Fire & Safety management systems in compliance with statutory and company EHS standards.

• Ensure compliance with Factory Act, Gujarat Fire Safety norms, PESO, CPCB/GPCB, and other applicable regulations.

• Conduct fire risk assessments, HAZOP, HIRA, and safety audits; ensure timely closure of observations.

• Manage and maintain fire protection systems such as hydrant systems, sprinklers, fire alarms, gas detection systems, foam systems, and fire extinguishers.

• Plan and conduct mock drills, emergency response training, and fire evacuation drills.

• Investigate fire incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions; prepare reports and implement corrective & preventive actions.

• Coordinate with government authorities, insurance surveyors, and third-party auditors for inspections and approvals.

• Ensure proper permit-to-work system, contractor safety management, and safety induction programs.

• Maintain safety documentation, SOPs, MSDS, fire load calculations, and statutory records.

• Promote safety culture across plant operations and ensure zero fire-related incidents.
