Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accountant to manage day-to-day financial operations, maintain accurate financial records, and ensure compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate will have strong numerical skills, excellent attention to detail, and experience with accounting software.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain and update financial records, ledgers, and journals.

Prepare and analyze financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).

Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.

Process invoices, payments, receipts, and bank reconciliations.

Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities.

Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and accounting standards.

Prepare tax returns and support tax filing activities.

Monitor company expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities.

Coordinate with auditors for internal and external audits.

Generate financial reports and provide insights for decision-making.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or related field.

Proven experience as an Accountant or similar role.

Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS).

Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, or others).

Advanced proficiency in MS Excel.

Strong analytical and organizational skills.

High attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

Professional certifications (CA/CPA/CMA/ACCA) — optional but preferred.

Experience in [industry, e.g., manufacturing, retail, etc.].

Knowledge of payroll processing and taxation rules.
