Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Procurement & Inventory Officer to oversee end-to-end procurement, logistics, fleet coordination, and inventory control operations. The role requires strong supplier management, site coordination, and operational discipline to support ongoing projects and business growth.

 

Key Responsibilities

1. Procurement & Supplier Management

  • Source, evaluate, and manage reliable local and international suppliers for projects, maintenance, and trading activities
  • Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules in line with cost control objectives
  • Prepare, issue, and follow up on purchase orders until material receipt and closure
  • Maintain accurate supplier records and support supplier performance reviews based on cost, quality, and delivery

2. Logistics, Fleet & Deliveries

  • Coordinate daily logistics for materials, tools, and equipment to multiple project sites and maintenance teams
  • Liaise with transporters, freight forwarders, couriers, and clearing agents
  • Coordinate closely with internal drivers to ensure timely and efficient deliveries
  • Plan vehicle usage to avoid delays, duplication, or underutilization
  • Manage and verify shipping documents, delivery notes, GRNs, and customs-related documentation

3. Inventory & Store Control

  • Monitor and control stock levels across stores, workshops, and project sites
  • Ensure proper material documentation, labeling, storage, and handling practices
  • Conduct regular stock checks and audits, identifying shortages or variances
  • Coordinate with Sales Engineers and technical teams to align material availability with project schedules

4. Internal Coordination & Communication

  • Act as the main coordination point for procurement and logistics activities
  • Work closely with Sales Engineers, Site Teams, Workshop staff, and the Sales HOD
  • Ensure clear and professional communication via email, phone, and WhatsApp
  • Provide regular updates on material status, delays, and operational risks

5. Team Guidance & Operational Discipline

  • Guide procurement and logistics staff on daily priorities and standard procedures
  • Monitor work output, follow-ups, and response timelines
  • Support onboarding, replacements, or operational adjustments within the logistics function
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, discipline, and operational standards

6. Strategic & Expansion Support

  • Support planning and development of future warehouse and logistics facilities
  • Provide practical input on store layout, material flow, vehicle access, and control systems
  • Assist in implementing scalable procurement and logistics processes to support fleet and business expansion

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 5+ yearsof experience in procurement, logistics, or supply chain operations
  • Strong exposure to UAE vendors, transporters, customs processes, and site-based operations
  • Experience handling fleet coordination and multi-site deliveries
  • Proficient in MS Officeand ERP / inventory management systems
  • Strong coordination, follow-up, and negotiation skills
  • Commercial awareness with a cost-control mindset
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, site-driven environment
  • Clear communication, practical problem-solving skills, and strong ownership
