Deputy Lab Operation Manager

Job Description:

Role Purpose
The Deputy Lab Operations Manager supports the Lab Manager in the day-to-day
management of lab operations
The Deputy Manager (will be responsible for establishing, stabilizing, and
optimizing lab operations, ensuring compliance with SLA, security protocols, and
quality standards while building a disciplined, performance-driven lab team.
This role requires a strong operational leader capable of quickly learning Sarin
systems and delivering results in a high-trust, high-security environment.
This position is ideal for a strong operational professional who leads by example,
understands lab processes deeply, and is present on the floor.

Key Responsibilities

End-to-End Lab Management
 Manage all lab processes from diamond receipt to final delivery.
 Quickly adapt to Sarin systems, policies, and operational standards.
 Identify inefficiencies and implement structured improvements.
SLA & Productivity Management
 Achieve and improve defined SLA metrics.
 Follow and track the throughput, TAT, and capacity.
 Ensure efficient staffing and workload distribution.
Quality & Process Discipline
 Enforce strict quality control and compliance standards.
 Introduce best practices where applicable without disrupting core processes.
Security & Risk Control

 Maintain strict security protocols with zero tolerance for violations.
 Build a culture of trust, accountability, and discipline.
Inventory & Equipment Management
 Take full responsibility for lab inventory and equipment control.
 Ensure accurate reconciliation and preventive maintenance systems.
Team Leadership
 Lead, train, and align the lab team to Sarin standards.
 Establish clear accountability and performance expectations.
 Maintain discipline while fostering a positive working environment.
Reporting & HQ Coordination
 Provide regular operational and performance updates to Manager.
 Act as a reliable operational interface between the lab and management.

Key Requirements
Experience
 Minimum 3+ years of operations or lab management experience.
 Experience managing teams of 20+ employees- advantage
 • Experience working in environments with defined processes, quality
standards, and security requirements.
 Prior exposure to diamond, gemstone, manufacturing, or high-value
operations - advantage
Skills
 Process-driven mindset with focus on productivity and SLA control.
 • Strong operational understanding with hands-on orientation.
• Ability to manage tasks, priorities, and people on the floor.
 Good computer skills and ability to learn specialized lab software quickly.
Language
 Hindi
 Fluent in English (spoken and written).
 Gujarati - Preferable


