Job Description:
A Quality Control (QC) Electrical Engineer ensures that electrical components, systems, or installations meet safety, regulatory, and design standards. They develop inspection protocols, test products, perform root cause analysis on defects, and implement corrective actions, often collaborating with production teams and suppliers to maintain high-quality benchmarks.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspection & Testing: Conduct inspections of incoming materials, in-process production, and finished electrical equipment to detect non-conformities.
- Standards Compliance: Ensure all work complies with electrical codes, regulations, and standards (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949, NEC).
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed records, prepare QA/QC reports, and document test results for stakeholders.
- Corrective Actions (CAPA): Lead root cause investigations using methods like 5 Whys or Fishbone diagrams to address defects and prevent recurrence.
- Calibration: Maintain and calibrate testing equipment to ensure accurate results.
